Integration and control solutions

"I am part of a start-up company/group who projects, develops and implements solutions oriented to home automation, both for developments and private use, as well as functional buildings (see Düsseldorf City Gate in Germany with its systems integration and automation). We understand this task is distributed amongst various agents, including those belonging to the building sector, telecommunications operators, etc. Furthermore, we work in self-managed multidisciplinary teams based on the Mondragon cooperative movement philosophy.

Recently, the company has fitted out a show flat measuring 104 m². It consists of a living room, open kitchen, desk corner and bedroom. The aim is to have a real life situation to offer to our customers. In addition, this will serve as a testing ground and display for new solutions (R&D), which adapt better to requirenments: increase in comfort, personal and property security, energy saving, control of equipment and systems and remote management of facilities (see second image below), e.g., etxeko arduraduna ontology-based application on software agents model.

In fact, this show flat is in full development. We like to install also some photovoltaic sun panel to communicate with our EIB/KNX system. There is a multimedia system connected to the EIB/KNX system, we are using radio frequency (RF) and there is a full equipped videophone system integrated through IP connection.

Integration of communication protocols (the mentioned EIB/KNX, LonWorks, Modbus, etc.), and embedded system applications are strong competencies of this company."
